OverviewThis piece was completed in November of 2025. I repurposed an old layered poster board of the Eiffel Tower the we had hanging in our bathroom for over 15 years. I found the multileveled poster board intriguing as I've never painted on that material before.

ProcessThis painting, like almost all of my other pieces, started out with a few fun layers of gesso. The poster board was thick enough to handle multiple layers of really wet paint. I loved how the layers of gesso provided me a solid and clean foundation to create the layers of paint that I wanted to use for the texture effect. I used brushes, palette knives, a roller, and a small tipped ink pen to create this piece. I have many different methods I use to apply paint with these tools, some experimental and others practiced. This piece took me about three weeks to complete. I finished the piece off with two layers of protective varnish to ensure it's longevity.

Meaning: All of my pieces are created with a waterfall of emotions influenced by music blasting in the background and this piece is certainly no exception. For me, what separates this painting from others is the fact that during the process of its creation, I was going through some very heavy parenting feelings/emotions. I am blessed to be a husband to my wife Kate and father to my daughters Sophia and Olivia. Being a parent is not easy (as many of you know). This piece represents all the love, uncertainty, insecurity, anger, frustration, elation, excitement, euphoria, and sadness that goes along with being a parent. Being a father to my two beautiful daughters is a true gift from my higher power. The layers and patterns of the paint are all purposeful and represent all the emotions and twists and turns that go into my experience as a parent. Like all of my other pieces, this one is all heart, it's everything I've got and it's a privilege to share it with you.

While admittedly the importance of my views/thoughts/opinions are absolutely insignificant in relation to the world, I have chosen to share my feelings through this piece of art. I hope that you can get some sense of that while viewing my work. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate you!
